The Vitamorphic Infant Microbiome Package

A first year gut health assesssment for your baby: where microbiome science meets ancestral wisdom

The Vitamorphic Infant Microbiome Package weaves together clinical naturopathy, paediatric functional medicine, endobiogeny, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic principles with practices passed down through generations. Carolina brings that depth to the earliest stage of life, when your baby’s gut bacteria are being established and are still changing quickly.

The first year is a key period. Birth, feeding, antibiotics and the move to solids all shape the bacteria that settle in your baby’s gut, and your baby’s digestion, feeding and settling are part of that picture. This assessment gives you time, a clear reading of your baby’s stool test and a plan for the first year, instead of being told to wait and see.

New parenthood is already demanding. If you are worrying over every feed, nappy and unsettled night, or you want to give your baby the best start and are unsure what is worth doing, this assessment is designed to give you clarity and a plan you can follow.

Who This Assessment Is For

The Vitamorphic Infant Microbiome Assessment is designed for:

  • Families wanting a preventative start: No major concerns, but you want to understand and support your baby’s development
  • Babies born by caesarean or after antibiotics in labour: Both are linked to differences in early gut bacteria, so your baby’s birth and early history are a starting point
  • Babies who have had antibiotics: Parents who want to understand how this fits into their baby’s gut development
  • Parents navigating digestive concerns: Colic, wind, reflux, constipation, unsettled feeding and persistent crying as well as skin issues such as eczema
  • Breastfed, formula fed and mixed fed babies: Every feeding method is welcome, and the plan fits the way you feed
  • Parents preparing for weaning: First foods, textures and allergen introduction planned around six months
  • Parents wanting a second opinion: Already working with your GP or health visitor and wanting an integrative perspective alongside
  • Parents who value both science and tradition: You want support that is evidence informed and gentle

Suitability: if your baby is under hospital care, please contact us before booking so we can check the assessment is appropriate.

Before your first appointment

  • Purchase the vitamorphic infant microbiome assessment and we can then order the recommended at-home stool test. The sample is taken from a nappy and posted to the lab. Reports can take several weeks, so please order at least four weeks before your proposed appointment date. We will guide you on timing and which test to use
  • Complete your intake form: Pregnancy, birth, feeding history, antibiotic exposure, symptoms and milestones

Appointment 1: Results and Plan (40 minutes)

Best booked between birth and about four months. This is where we bring your baby’s story and results together:

  • Review of your intake form, including pregnancy, birth, feeding and antibiotic exposure
  • Your baby’s stool results read in the context of their history and symptom
  • Feeding review, whether breast, formula or mixed: what is working and what to adjust
  • Digestion, sleep and settling patterns
  • Whether a probiotic is worth considering for your baby, based on current evidence
  • Vitamin D and any supplements your baby is already taking
  • Your plan and clear next steps
  • Time for your questions

A written summary of your results, interpretation and plan follows your appointment, including what to expect over the coming months: how your baby’s gut bacteria typically develop as feeding changes, and how digestion, sleep, growth and overall development fit together.

Appointment 2: Six Month Review (40 minutes)

Taken about six months after your first appointment, and from month five to month twelve. This is where we look at how things have developed and plan or assess the move to solids:

  • Review of progress since your first appointment
  • Your second stool test, compared with the first
  • Weaning readiness, first foods, textures and allergen introduction plan
  • Adjustments to your feeding and gut support plan
  • Guidance on whether and when to retest
  • Time for your questions

A second written summary follows your appointment. It covers your results, how they compare with the first, and what to expect over the coming months, including how your baby’s gut bacteria typically develop as feeding changes and how digestion, sleep, growth and overall development fit together.
