- Albizia’s Chinese names translate to ‘happiness herb’ or ‘happiness bark’. Albizia has been used to help relieve stress, anxiety, and support mood and calm. Traditionally it is also used to treat difficult mental and emotional conditions like depression and grief. Albizia has also been historically used to treat insomnia, poor memory, irritability, and anger from suppressed emotions.
- The bark is considered valuable in Chinese medicine for healing external wounds and bone fractures, and for nourishing yin organs (heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidney, pericardium).
