R.E.D. Laboratories
R.E.D is a Belgian lab focused on research and diagnostic tests for chronic immune disorders, intestinal dysfunctions tick-borne diseases (e.g. Lyme disease) and multifactorial disorders like autism and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Core tests we use include:
Urine Th1/Th2 balance test
The Urine Balance test detects alterations of Th1/Th2 balance. The test allows patients and their practitioners to follow-up on Th1/Th2 balance during therapy and to assess treatment efficacy.
This test can also be used in adjunct to SIBO testing, especially if a SIBO test comes back negative, but symptoms persist. This test can assist in the diagnosis of hydrogen sulphide producing bacteria.
Mould IgG Panel
This is a blood test measuring critical immune responses against environmental exposure to yeasts and moulds.
Markers tested:
- Candida albicans
- Cladosporium herbarum
- Aspergillus niger
- Alternaria alternata
- Penicillium chrysogenum
- Alternaria alternata
- Aspergillus fumigatus

This blood test measures:
- Melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH)
- Vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP)
- Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)
- Antigen C4a
- Transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β1)
- Matrix metallopeptidase 9 (MMP 9)
